When we made love to my favorite song I knew it would never be the same. When it comes on every once in awhile my voice gets too scared to say, “I’m better off wondering where you are.”

I was afraid that you’d ask me to stay because I can’t resist those eyes of yours. I should have known that you wouldn’t stay home even if I asked you to… but I never did.

My great grandma grew up in Omaha. I’d take you there if you cared at all.
