Keyzer Röger Great band. A mystery why they don't get more attention on BC.
Favorite track: Bury Me In Colma.

Cellar Door 04:42
You always speak with another mans voice but you are not. I tried to stand as tall as you but I am not. You always speak with another man’s voice but you are not, you are not him. All you wanted was someone to love you with the same amount of love. But you never learned to love yourself, so your ship was crashed before you left the dock. I thought you were someone else. Guess I was just wrong again. I could have sworn that I heard you sleep taking in the dead of night. You said you didn’t love me. Said it wasn’t right. Heard a peculiar knocking at the cellar door. It was the ghost of nothing telling me who I was. This October air is unrelenting. It made us ashamed of our naked bodies. If I could take anything back, I would, take back that little piece of me that I left inside you.

I Was Afraid 04:53
I don’t know you but I wish I did. These lines that I sing to you have already been said. My voice is a copy of a thousand other men. I’d say something to you but everything has already been said. When we made love to my favorite song I knew it would never be the same. When it comes on every once in awhile my voice gets too scared to say, “I’m better off wondering where you are.” I was afraid that you’d ask me to stay because I can’t resist those eyes of yours. I should have known that you wouldn’t stay home even if I asked you to… but I never did. My great grandma grew up in Omaha. I’d take you there if you cared at all.

I thought you were something more but I was wrong. I was wrong. I was blinded by your beautiful… bones. Bury me in coma ‘cause I don’t want to be dead where people live. I just want to sleep in the ground without people walking all over me. It’s nice to know you can feel in your cold bones. Its nice to know, I’m a sickle slash away from home. But you don’t really care; you just stare with your dead stare. And I promise I wont hold it against you if you promise to hold me against you…

We sleep in the same bed but in different houses. Listening to you breath no longer takes my breath away. The floorboards moan at your return, I hide away from you. I could have sworn you were still here… You must have left years ago The devils at the back door! Don’t let him in! I swear that you don’t care! There’s a ghost at the end of the hall…. She looks just like you. The devils at the back door! But you let him in! I swear that you don’t care! Oh, love is a friend that will lull you to sleep then slit your throat any chance that she gets. I was afraid to let love in. Then she stepped on my heart while leaving.

Hellcatcher 04:09
Glorify the evidence. I want nothing to do with innocence. All you said is that you don’t want love but I can see it in your eyes. All you said is that you are afraid of everything, but I don’t believe you. How does it feel to be loved? You will retire for the night with the image of your former self staring right back at you. What you have to say? What you have to say? How does it feel to be loved, for nothing? All you said is that you don’t want love but I can see it in your eyes. All you said is that you are afraid of everything, but I don’t believe you. How does it feel to be loved, for nothing?

Listen up, you are the better one. You don’t care! I’ve been sleeping, lonely, waiting for you to come home. You don’t care! I’m starting to think that the sun only comes up because it has nothing better to do. Oh, I’ve been watching you from your bedroom window. I see you dancing just for me. Lover, Lover. Lover, is there something wrong with your Lover? Lover. Lover, is your something wrong with your head?
